Welcome to 10 Things I said WTF to, an edition of WTF that will arrive in your inboxes on the last day of each month. It will be a round up of ten things from the ending month that have made me say WTF - all for various reasons, good or bad. Ranging from something minuscule and mundane like a recipe i’m loving, or bigger life issues and chaotic world events. Maybe you’ll discover some new things to try, buy, eat or watch!
Jeez I have talked a LOT in this one, so buckle up as there is much to be discussed.
January

I thought we’d kick things off with the obvious one - January. My biggest WTF this month goes to January! Every year it rolls around and every year I forget how unbelievably bleak it is. About as bleak as this penis someone spray-painted onto the new Gail’s in Brighton. These three photos really sum up my January, especially the crap weather and comforting food. The past few weeks before I go to sleep I’ve been trying to get myself into a positive mindset for the morning and figuring out how to improve the days slightly. But when you wake up and have to wear about 8 layers, eat the sad healthy lunch you made in an attempt to embrace ‘new year, new me’ and then walk home in the freezing cold - it’s hard to stay cheery. But… reading this means it’s the last day of the month so we made it!
Priscilla
I wanted to go to the cinema on NYD to see Priscilla but the sofa and noodles were calling my name all day, but we luckily managed to find it streaming online!!! & what a joy it was. I never had any doubts it would be perfect as Sofia Coppola is a true genius and I loved every minute of it. Every part of it was so so stunning and I loved how slow and relaxing it was? vs the Elvis movie which was ridiculously chaotic and stressful.
Booking a Trip to LA
I’ve been wanting to book a trip to LA for years but it’s never worked out or been the right time, but I can finally say that everything is booked for end of summer 2024! Please can no one comment on this and be like “It’s not as good as you think it’ll be blah blah blah” - let me live my dream tik tok influencer LA girlie life just for two weeks please!!! I wanna go to Disneyland, I wanna drink a Hailey Bieber Smoothie and I wanna visit everywhere and anywhere Devon Lee Carlson goes in her vlogs. So currently accepting all LA recommendations!! Jump in my DM’s.
Trying to Make Positive Daily Changes
Obviously ‘new year new me’ is all a bunch of crap and as I said in my first newsletter of this year, I wasn’t setting myself intense resolutions, because you just end up feeling bad about yourself. BUT I have been trying to make smaller positive changes to my daily life, in an attempt to boost my mental and physical health. Some examples… making my lunch for work instead of spending £5-£7 on a sandwich (thats a whole discussion in itself!!), walking to and from work because I got too into the habit of getting the bus home and trying harder to eat gluten free so I’m not constantly in pain or bloated. I’ve only been doing the above things for maybe like two weeks days so far? So I’m still in the stage of wanting to give it all up and succumb to my old habits, but really deep down I do feel like these changes are making me feel better. So I will be continuing to try, for the sake of my brain and bank account.
FKA Twigs vs Jeremy Allen White for Calvin Klein
The internet went absolutely feral for Jeremy Allen White’s Calvin Klein campaign this month, but sadly FKA Twig’s didn’t receive quite the same reaction. In the UK the ASA has banned her campaign for presenting her as a "stereotypical sexual object". However, White’s campaign is deemed as totally fine? It’s honestly so disappointing in 2024 to see women still experiencing such double standards. This outcome surely means White will earn a considerable amount for the use of his photos, yet FKA Twig’s will earn much less due to her campaign not being as promotable? Sadly another example of women still somehow earning less than men and always being seen as “too sexual & promiscuous” for doing the same things men do.
Styling in The Talented Mr Ripley
Somehow up until a few days ago I had never seen The Talented Mr Ripley and my boyfriend was adamant that I’d love it and be obsessed with the styling - and he was right. I still can’t get over Gwenyth Paltrow in this matching leopard set, I’ve been wanting a long leopard coat so much this winter so this look was really doing it for me!! The rest of the film is styled to perfection and I already feel like I need to watch it again to properly take it all in.
Clairo’s Return?
If you know me you know I am a Clairo girlie through and through!! ‘Bags’ was the number one top played song at my work last year and she is my absolute go to artist whatever mood i’m in. So her hinting at new music has me beyond excited.
Kristin Davis for Jacquemus

Jacquemus marketing is always so so good, and their latest campaign with Kristin Davis is no exception. One way to always grab the girlies attention is SATC!! Even though Charlotte Yorke isn’t mentioned, this whole video is an ode to the character that Davis played so well. The gloves and careful examination of the product being a nod to her career as an art dealer / gallery curator, and the outfit reflecting the prim and proper preppy style she championed throughout the six seasons of SATC. Obsessed!
Susan Alexandra x Wildflower
Apologies for the low-qual pic, you know when you’ve exhausted every outlet and photos aren’t downloadable and sometimes a screenshot just has to suffice? That’s where I’m at. Anyway, Susan Alexandra x Wildflower is the collab of dreams! I’ve been obsessed with her own designs for years now and unsurprisingly the cases are also super cute. If you haven’t heard of Susan Alexandra then I desperately urge you to go take a look at her website, especially her dog collars!! So iconic.
