10 Things I Said WTF to in November / #18
Current mood: in shock it's basically December already
Welcome to 10 Things I Said WTF to, my end of month round-up newsletter of 10 things I’ve said WTF to over the past four weeks. Ranging from good to bad, to absolute nonsense °˖✧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚✧˖°
Sandy Liang Monchhichi
Earlier this month Sandy Liang announced her collaboration with Monchhichi, and spoiler alert: no I didn’t get one. I counted down the minutes till 4pm UK time, popped that baby in my basket and then took another look at the price and quickly decided against it. Is it perfect? Yes. Did I need to spend $98 plus shipping on something that will sadly just sit on a shelf? Not right now. However, I still had to include it in this months 10 Things because it is too cute!! (I will admit I just opened my phone to see someone unboxing one and I was very, very jealous)

Anyone who knows me personally or even just follows me on Instagram knows that I religiously drink an iced oat latte every single day, and for some reason in Brighton it’s actually very difficult to find a good one. The main issue is usually just cafe’s using dome lids, which we all know for some weird reason makes you instantly feel embarrassed when seen with one. However, my newest and biggest pet hate is any barista who uses leftover steamed milk to add a frothy top to the iced latte. You are just melting the ice!!!!! I can’t even tell you the amount of times I haven’t even got to the bottom of the street before realising there isn’t one single cube left, and my coffee is now just sour, lukewarm and watery. I have no idea why but this has become super common in coffee shops all over Brighton, and now getting my morning coffee is a risk. It used to be my favourite part of my walk to work, but now I’m on edge wondering if I’ll have the perfect iced latte to start my day, or if the barista will betray me.
As I often rant about the above IRL, many of my friends have sent me icedlattehimbo’s TikTok account, which is essentially a whole account where an Australian guy just reviews iced latte’s. Let me tell you, I have never felt so seen in my whole life. The majority of his videos are him complaining about dome lids or receiving an iced coffee in a hot cup and also vouching for those who drink iced all year round. I often find myself in debates with people who believe iced coffee is seasonal, which obviously I strongly disagree with as someone who simply doesn’t like hot drinks. So, if you are also an iced lover I highly recommend giving him a follow as he cracks me up.
RHONY Season 8
I’ve just finished Season 8 of RHONY, and wow it was unhinged. Here are my notes…
Jules is absolutely hilarious and I wish she wasn’t leaving after one season but I totally don’t blame her because the women treated her like shit! Not only them, but her husband sucked big time and it made me feel awful for her.
Luann’s relationship with Tom gave me the most intense second hand embarrassment I honestly had to close my eyes at certain points. It was hard enough seeing her parade around all the women gloating about her engagement to a man she barely knew (who had also dated two of her friends), but then him kissing someone else a week after he proposed sent me over the edge. Then to top it off, Luann was over it within 5 minutes and then just continued planning their wedding. Recently the word delusional has been overused, but that’s the only way to describe her behaviour all season.
Bethenny calling Luann a slut at Dorinda’s house in the Berkshire’s was one of the most shocking and memorable moments of the show so far. Totally not OK to slut shame - but seeing Bethenny suddenly explode like that was very unexpected. I don’t agree with what she said or how she said it, but I honestly do think Luann needs to be brought back to reality sometimes because she is a pretty crappy friend.
Sonja announcing her new alcohol range ‘Tipsy Girl’ was simply insane. I don’t understand how anybody could think that name wasn’t a little too inspired by Bethenny’s business ‘Skinnygirl’ (which is obviously problematic but that’s another conversation). The fact Sonja also seemed to have absolutely no idea why Bethenny would be upset completely baffled me. I actually like Sonja and find her entertaining, but I think she needs to put herself in other people’s shoes sometimes because the way she runs her life is chaotic.
The tag lines are getting wilder each season and I love it…
