I would like to start this newsletter by apologising for a shorter and less wordy piece this week as I’m currently working on the longest WTF newsletter yet and it’s taking more time than I expected. Therefore, today’s is something a little lighter and easier to ingest!
Somehow Christmas is next week (how has that come around so quick?) and I realised that even though I shared all the WTF gift guides well in advance, I forgot to include my own personal wish-list! So below is a complete round-up of all the lovely things I’ve been lusting after this year/holiday season. Maybe some of you last minute shoppers will also find the perfect gift for that special someone!
&Daughter Ada Crewneck Cardigan - £350
This cardigan by &Daughter has been on my radar for over a year now, and ever since we stocked them at my old work I’ve been obsessed with their knits. Charcoal is a colour I gravitate towards a lot with knitwear and I also love myself a little cardi so I think this would be the perfect wardrobe staple. Obviously a higher price point, but I highly doubt this would ever end up in the ‘to list on Vinted’ pile in the corner of your bedroom! Truly a forever piece.
Animal Crossing Guess Who? - £19.49
I’ve been desperate to play Guess Who? again as an adult because I think the questions we’d ask would be much funnier now we’ve got a little more life experience behind us. While looking for it online I stumbled across this Animal Crossing edition which I just thought was so so cute and nostalgic for anyone who’s grown up playing it on each and every new console. (Reminder to dig out my old pink Nintendo DS when I go home for Christmas!)
Kitsch Stainless Steel Gua Sha - £11
Just as I mastered my gua sha routine and had actually been keeping up with it every morning - I dropped it on the bathroom floor. Sadly it snapped in two, and I’ve obviously put off buying a new one ever since. I really like the sound of this stainless steel one!
Ethel Cain Preachers Daughter Vinyl - £21.99
Including this is bittersweet as I missed out on every single pre-order and have been kicking myself ever since, but it will remain on my wish-list until I can finally get my hands on it!
Good Squish SquishIE Keychain - £28
Love Good Squish, love gold, love keychains. Perfect.
Somehow I don’t own a Miffy plushy? but as someone who’s partner often works away for long periods, I think I need one to keep me company at night! This clown one is ridiculously cute and silly.
This Acne scarf is another charcoal knitted piece that I’ve been longing after for a while but never actually just sucked it up and hit checkout. I recently tried it on in Liberty and can confirm it’s the perfect scarf! I’m not a huge fan of a blanket scarf as I find them quite overstimulating, so this width is ideal.
Saw this on Cierra O’day’s TikTok and immediately ran to the comments to try find it online - such a cute bag and I was shocked at how much she’d managed to fit inside. Shockingly I don’t actually own a black handbag as they always feel a little too ‘grown up’, but I’m thinking this may be the perfect one!
Whenever I’m in Soho I’m always too distracted by Ganni to even realise Rejina Pyo is right next door! So when I visited last week I made a conscious effort to take a look in-store, and I was honestly blown away. Everything was so so nice and the shop was such a calm environment compared to the craziness of central London at Christmas. These mules were the thing that I kept circling back to and picking up - so so good. I know it’s a little insane to be wishing for sandals when it’s freezing outside, but these would be amazing for next summer.
Stripe & Stare Polka Dot Knickers - £18
I’m currently polka dot obsessed and forever obsessed with a giant pair of knickers so I’d love a pair of these for every day of the week.
Want by Gillian Anderson - £18.99
Included this in my gift guides last month but would also really love to read it myself, I think getting to read about other women’s sexual desires would be extremely empowering!
Ganni Faux Fur Coat - £405 (currently down from £675!)
Tried this on also in Liberty last week and was honestly blown away, so OTT and ridiculous but would truly make any outfit incredible. It was still full price at £675 so I very sadly popped her back on the rail, but noticed as I was searching for the link it’s now down to £405! Still an eye-watering amount, but if you’re looking to invest in a statement coat this season then it’s definitely one to consider.
Chopova Lowena Necklace - £325
I’ve been wanting a Chopova Lowena necklace for a while as I really love when they mix silver and gold, and I’m trying to get into that more! I think the bow on this one is super fun.
Damson Madder Argyle Knee High Socks - £15
Very into a knee high sock, and also a big fan of argyle so this pair from Damson Madder are really doing it for me.
Wildflower Leopard Print Phone Case - £38
Unfortunately I am one of the people who upgraded to a very problematic and glitchy iPhone 15 before they got discontinued, and I’ve been putting off going to swap it for months now. However, when I do, I’d love this Wildflower case!
Earl of East Milk Bun Candle - £40
Smelt this in the Earl of East store yesterday and was very pleasantly surprised. Assumed I’d want to go for the Matcha version, but this Milk Bun one was definitely the best of the bunch!
The Virgin Suicides Book - £40
I already own the Sofia Coppola Archive book which has sections for each of her films, but I saw she’s releasing this Virgin Suicides specific hardback and I fear I may need this one too. The Virgin Suicides is one of my favourite films and also one of my favourite books, so I’d love to add this to my coffee table collection.
Comme Des Garcons Coin Purse - £69
Blue is never a colour I gravitate towards but after seeing this in Dover Street Market, I’m obsessed! I’ve had the cream version for a couple of years now but she’s looking a little worse for wear and this would be a cute upgrade. Although, purses are something I put off re-buying because if it’s not falling apart then why would I need a new one? So, I’m keeping this colour-way in mind for the day that happens.
I was kicking myself for missing out on the Ethel Cain vinyl too, but I've just seen that more copies are being released! Have pre-ordered mine from Resident, very excited to *finally* own a physical edition of Preacher's Daughter
