Wedges Are Everywhere
I'm talking heels of course, but also available in potato or caesar format.
Growing up in the early 2000’s it felt like wedges were everywhere, and the higher the better. To my 10 year old self they always looked incredibly grown up and were mostly worn by micro-celebrity reality stars, British mums on holiday or inappropriately dressed high-schoolers on Disney Channel shows (like come onnn who’s wearing heels to school?!).
I never really thought wedges were cool, and in recent years it felt like they’d honestly dropped off the face of the earth (which admittedly I was happy about). So when I saw the SS25 Chloé show I was shocked to see them making a return, throughout the collection and on the feet of most guests sitting front-row.
Despite this, I still didn’t anticipate a successful comeback because we’ve all become so attached to our kitten heels, but I’ve been proven wrong. So wrong in fact that I now own 2 (!) pairs and I’m writing this newsletter singing their praises. As much as I adore a strappy little sandal, I cannot deny the way my toes start to throb from the lack of sole and overall support. Which is exactly why as heels seem to be re-entering our day-to-day wardrobes, wedges are a winner!
The Chloé Maxime style shown above will set you back a sweet £925, so if you’re looking to jump on this summers most comfortable trend, I’ve listed a few budget friendly options below.
M&S Leather Crossover Ankle Strap Wedge Sandals / £59.50
Tony Bianco Avanti Wedge Heels / £155

I would like to end this very quick newsletter with a shout-out to the humble caesar wedge, the perfect accompaniment to any al fresco dinner, looks great and is incredibly easy to rustle together. I made one recently and it was a real crowd pleaser.
