The other week I was thinking to myself how many people seemed to be getting engaged or married recently, but then I quickly realised that it isn’t some mad coincidence… I’m just entering my late twenties. These are the years where all the serious stuff begins, and you immediately don’t feel old enough to be dealing with any of it. It feels baffling to be going to weddings of people you went to school with, or seeing your friends have babies, but somehow you’ve reached that age.
Obviously after being invited to a wedding, the first thing you start to panic about is what to wear. Is it possible to feel like yourself while not completely breaking the bank, and in something you know you wont toss aside after one night? If you can, I’m 100% team work with what you already have in your wardrobe. It’s definitely the most sustainable and cost effective option, I can’t even imagine how many ridiculously expensive outfits are discarded after being bought specifically for one wedding. However, as I only really started getting invited to them within the last year or so, my special occasion wardrobe isn’t quite there yet.
